Description:
Appearance: White or off-white hydroscopic powder.
Odor: Odorless
Solubility: Freely soluble in water. Sparingly soluble in methanol and ethanol. Practically insoluble in acetone and ether. Stable at the PH range of 3-7.5.
Specification:The potency is not less than 19,000 I.U. per milligram, calculated on the dried basis.
Usage: Colistin sulfate is an antibiotic of basic polypeptides constituted by various amino acids and fatty acids. It exerts positively strong effects against intestinal diseases caused by gram-negative bacilli. As a feed additive, mixing with Feed results in weight gains.
Storage: Protected from light and stored in a dry cool place.
